Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WorldKonstruct ("we," "our," or "us"), a Google Docs add-on designed to help writers build and manage story bibles. By installing, accessing, or using WorldKonstruct, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By using WorldKonstruct, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use WorldKonstruct.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use WorldKonstruct. By using WorldKonstruct, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

Description of Service

WorldKonstruct is a productivity tool that integrates with Google Docs to provide:

  • Story bible management — creating and organising entries for characters, locations, objects, factions, worldbuilding elements, and events (6 user-facing entry types)
  • @Mention linking — inserting wiki-style linked references to story bible entries within your manuscript, with automatic backlink computation
  • AI-powered document scanning — analysing your manuscript to discover and suggest story elements for your bible, with delta resync for changed content
  • AI Enhance and Enrich All — using AI to fill in entry fields from manuscript context, individually or in bulk
  • Dramatica archetype analysis and reports — analysing character arcs, throughlines, and theme patterns
  • Rename propagation — automatically updating all @mention references when you rename an entry
  • Relationship tracking — 14 preset relationship types with automatic bidirectional reverse creation
  • Google Sheets synchronisation — an optional spreadsheet-based workflow for bulk editing and overview
  • Import functionality — importing story bible data from Notion (CSV+MD zips), Scrivener (.scriv/.scrivx), and Obsidian (.md vault zips)
  • Export functionality — exporting your story bible as JSON, Markdown (ZIP), or premium HTML with dark mode and search
  • Series support — linking multiple Google Docs to the same story bible spreadsheet
  • Genre templates — Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Mystery, or Blank starting templates

User Accounts and Plans

Free Plan

WorldKonstruct offers a free version with all core features available to all users, subject to usage limits (150 story bible entries, 150 lifetime AI actions, 1 lifetime report generation). Free plan users retain full access to existing entries and data even after reaching limits — only creation of new entries and AI actions are restricted.

Pro Plan (One-Time Lifetime Purchase)

We offer enhanced capacity through a one-time lifetime purchase ("Pro"). By purchasing Pro:

  • You pay a single, one-time fee as indicated at the time of purchase — there is no subscription, no recurring charges, and nothing to cancel
  • Your Pro access is permanent and includes all future updates to WorldKonstruct at no additional cost
  • Pro unlocks unlimited story bible entries, unlimited AI actions, and unlimited report generations
  • Pro is tied to the Google account email address used at the time of purchase

Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on Pro purchases. If you are not satisfied, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. After 14 days, your Pro access remains active permanently — there is nothing to cancel.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through LemonSqueezy, a third-party payment processor. You agree to provide accurate and complete information at checkout. We do not store your payment card details — all payment data is handled by LemonSqueezy under their own terms of service and privacy policy.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use WorldKonstruct only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use WorldKonstruct to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Use the AI document scanning feature to process content that you do not own or have the right to analyse
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of WorldKonstruct or its servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of WorldKonstruct
  • Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of WorldKonstruct
  • Use WorldKonstruct in a manner that could disable, overburden, or impair the functionality of the service
  • Attempt to circumvent any usage limits or restrictions

Intellectual Property Rights

Our Intellectual Property

WorldKonstruct and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

We do not claim ownership of any content that you create using WorldKonstruct. You retain all rights to your documents, manuscripts, story bible entries, character profiles, worldbuilding notes, and all other creative content. Your story is yours.

Disclaimer of Warranties

WORLDKONSTRUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

  • WorldKonstruct will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free
  • AI document scanning results will be complete, accurate, or comprehensive
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected
  • WorldKonstruct is free of viruses or other harmful components

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use WorldKonstruct
  • Any unauthorised access to or use of our servers or any data stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from WorldKonstruct
  • Any loss of story bible data, entry content, or manuscript references
  • Any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted through WorldKonstruct

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable attorney fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of WorldKonstruct or your violation of these Terms.

AI Features and Fair Use

AI-Powered Features

WorldKonstruct uses third-party AI services to provide features such as document scanning, field generation, AI Enhance, Enrich All, Dramatica archetype analysis, and name suggestions. All included-credit AI requests are processed by Google's Gemini API (Flash 2.5 / Pro, paid commercial tier — no model training on API data). If you use BYOK (Bring Your Own Key), supported requests may be routed to Anthropic Claude (Sonnet 4.6, Haiku 4.5) or through OpenRouter, depending on your key type. AI-generated content is provided as creative suggestions — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding what to include in your work.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of AI-generated content. AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or content that does not match your creative intent.

Fair Use Policy

Pro users receive "unlimited" AI actions for normal, personal creative writing use. This means:

  • There is no monthly or lifetime cap on AI actions for individual creative writing workflows
  • "Unlimited" means reasonable individual use — it does not mean unrestricted programmatic, automated, or commercial-scale access
  • We maintain an invisible daily rate limit to prevent scripted abuse and protect service availability for all users. Normal human usage will never approach this limit
  • We reserve the right to throttle or suspend access if we detect automated, scripted, or abusive usage patterns that significantly exceed normal individual creative writing use

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

Pro users may optionally provide their own API key (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenRouter) to access AI features directly through their own account. When using BYOK:

  • Your API key is stored in your Google Account's PropertiesService and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers — it is sent directly from the Add-on to the AI provider's API over HTTPS.
  • You are responsible for any charges incurred on your AI provider account
  • We are not responsible for any issues arising from your use of a personal API key, including billing disputes with the AI provider
  • BYOK usage routes supported AI features through your own provider account

AI Name Suggestions

AI-powered name suggestions are always free for all users and do not count toward any AI action limits.

Third-Party Services

WorldKonstruct integrates with Google Docs and Google Sheets, and operates within the Google Workspace environment. Your use of WorldKonstruct is also subject to Google's Terms of Service.

All included-credit AI requests are sent directly to Google's Gemini API (paid commercial tier). BYOK users may route requests to Anthropic Claude (direct) or through OpenRouter, depending on API key type. WorldKonstruct's own infrastructure never routes through OpenRouter — this is a hard compliance policy for Google User Data. We do not control and are not responsible for the content generated by third-party AI models.

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy under their own terms of service. Licence verification uses our Supabase backend to confirm your Pro status — no user content is stored on our servers.

Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, WorldKonstruct (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available within the add-on or on our website. By continuing to use WorldKonstruct after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding WorldKonstruct and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
